The iPhone is out and everyone knows it. It looks like a great phone to have but I just have a few complaints...pracitcally the whole thing is a touch screen--That sounds awesome but touch screens can really get messed up...really quickly...so scratches or what ever-a touch screen really isn't the best option.
And then there is the price...Is it just me or would you not pay $499 just for a cell phone? It is awesome and all but I think I could wait until I get home at my computer to check stocks and read email etc.
What the heck did Jobs also mean when he said it would run OS X? He talked about special applications made for the iPhone...not real apps. What did Jobs mean when he said the iPhone runs OS X?
Hmmmm the iPhone is made by Apple and in the next OS X OS Lepord we will be seeing something called Pages. Will that be the app for word processing or will we see Microsoft have Microsoft Office for the iPhone?
And Lastly as of now it only works with Cingular...enough said.

What OS are you running?

Firstly you're not paying $499 for a cellphone you're paying that for a smart phone AND 4Gb video iPod. That's about the same if you bought each seperately.
I don't know what screen they are using but I've had experience with some screens that are similar and they are very tough screens. In a demo the guy punched full force into the screen and nothing happened. These screens are nothing like Palm and Windows Mobile device screens (most notably the inability to use a stylus on them). I think the scratch and damage issue will be a non-issue
So...ya the phone is so sweet but ya i think everyone has a least one thing they don't like about it :(
Danny, Pages is already in existence. Unless you are referring to something else that I am not aware of. Pages though I haven't used it a whole lot actually opens Word Documents and can save to Word, PDF, HTML, and Rich Text. Hope that helps clarify things for you. Where did you see that Leopard was coming with Pages? I doubt pages is going to be installed on the iPhone I can't see it being used on such a small display effectively. Nice Website btw.
